— La Bien Aimee — Paris Yarn Shop —

What is the first thing to do in Paris: go to La Bien Aimee🙂 The nearest metro is Place d’Italie. The shop is very yellow, so you cannot miss it. Find your favourite yarn from fabulous collections of yarns for your Paris memory and start knitting at L’oisive The, Knit Cafe.

During our visit to La Bien Aimee, lots of tourists from U.S.A. were visiting! and we had a lovely guest to our workshop from one of them!

Hiroko is dyeing La Bien Aimee original yarns. She was busy for dyeing and checking carefully the colour under the natural light. We could talk about dyeing forever. It was precious time for us to see the dyeing atelier. Thank you, Hiroko and Aimee.

Our workshop was held in L’oisive The. It was fantastic. We were also inspired by colours from Paris and learned what participants care about stitching.

Travelling Temaricious: Airbnb Debut

We tried Airbnb for the first time in London.

We were in need of staying East London to go to Angel, where LOOP is located, to have two days workshops. We were very fortunate to find accommodation at Christina’s as we could easily travel to Angel by direct bus 43. It was not only the reason why it was a fantastic place to stay.

Christina’s creativity that was found there inspired us so much. Especially this work reminds us of playing with ORIGAMI when we were little. It used to be just a simple play for us but realised that it could be an art. That was unexpected and impressive.

We felt like we had already met Christina long time ago. Chatting with another girl, who was also staying there, at the living room on one night, brought us back the memory of when we were student in the U.K.  (looooong time ago!).

Travelling as not just as tourists is much more interesting. Such an accommodation hosted by locals can be found in Airbnb will let you see how local people live and areas where the usual life is.

This temariball was made by our host, Christina. We made a small workshop for her and then she finished at night while we were sleeping:-)

Travelling Temaricious: Uber Debut

When you travel, moving places to places is very stressful especially under the limited time and foreign places. So we needed to learn how smart we travel during the stay in Europe. It was very first time for Temaricious to use Uber. Uber was not very common for Tokyo people as we are not so much taxi users usually (lots of trains, metro, buses in Tokyo). But actually, Uber, it was a fantastic service.

We tool a normal black cab in London late afternoon on Friday because we could not catch Uber! Amazingly popular. To be honest, we also love London black cab too.

What was convenient for travellers: mobile chargers, mineral water supplies! and yes, bonbon 🙂 charging was a crucial problem for travellers. So it is so nice to use a mobile charger during moving to new places.

He dropped us to St. Pancras international station as we had big suitcases! His car was so clean and could tell his character!

Yes, we used Uber in Paris too. It was so nice, easy and safe. Thank you, Uber!

There is Uber Tokyo! So we need to try out someday:-)

— LOOP’S 10 —

Thanks to LOOP, we had 2 wonderful workshops in London. We selected the pattern, LOOP for the workshop to celebrate LOOP’s 10th anniversary in September.

We are very honoured and excited to be in the part of the anniversary book, LOOP’S 10. Our LOOP dedicated colours are so special and available only in LOOP and online shop. Susan started selling single floss of our natural-dyed stitching thread after our workshop. It’s good chance to try one of our colours!  Special set: Islington & Autumn Hydrangea, Single floss
